Chiropractic and Cranial Adjusting

Chiropractic and Cranial Adjusting will also only assist with headaches and other symptoms. I still verify the location of the cranial plates when all else fails. The skull is an extremely complex device that is not only fused into a piece of armor to shield the brain. The skull plates move ever so slightly and can even get trapped in the wrong place. My office manger complained of extreme headaches and dreadful stomach pain that could not be caused by anything. She went to her doctor several times, and I even had her subluxation changed several times without affecting her condition. I searched her skull one day to discover that items were out of place. I changed them and suddenly her issues disappeared. WOW. WOW.You can get additional information at Accident and Injury Care, Chiropractic and Massage, Seattle.

Pain in the Neck

With reports of neck pain or discomfort, about 19 percent of our patients come to us. A number of causes, such as an accident, injury, overuse, etc., may cause this pain. Whiplash is the most common neck injury we deal with.

In various research performed in the United States, Canada, Wales and the Netherlands, the effectiveness of chiropractic for neck pain has been well reported. In a joint U.S./Canadian study conducted in 1996, UCLA researchers, the West LA Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and two chiropractic colleges found that spinal adjustment proved to be a more successful cure than mobilization or physical therapy for certain patients with sub-acute or chronic neck pain.

Researchers discovered spinal changes to improve neck mobility and minimize neck pain in a study performed by the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto in 1997. An additional Canadian research conducted by the University of Calgary in 1997 found spinal changes in patients who have back and/or neck problems to increase neck mobility and decrease neck pain.

A review of the effectiveness of spinal adjustment in alleviating neck and shoulder pain was performed by general practitioners in private practice at the Welsh National School of Medicine. The findings, published in 1983, showed that pain and discomfort, as well as the range of motion and responsiveness of the affected regions, improved dramatically after adjustment.

A research undertaken in the Netherlands in 1992 by medical doctors and other experts studied various treatment strategies for patients with severe back and neck pain. Manual therapy (which consisted of adjustment and mobilization of the spine) demonstrated a “faster and larger improvement in physical functioning” after 12 weeks of treatment compared to other forms of treatment, such as massage, exercise, and physical therapy.
